Paul returns to the gallery with four new paintings based on scenes round this area.
Paul Dolman likes his work to be different from other landscape painters and to achieve this he works in more atmospheric lighting conditions from heavy foggy days to clear colder evenings. He describes his style as romantic with a focus on finding inspiration from nature and emotions.
His technique is sophisticated with many layers of oil and mixed media built up to give depth and emotional content. His work is continually evolving, as is its reputation for quality, clarity, dramatic light and atmosphere.
Paul works from his studio on Avon Beach in Mudeford. He grew up in Devon and his first job was as a pottery designer and later as an illustrator for the South Devon Scene, a local newspaper. He passion was always for art and now he has an international following from the US to Australia and New Zealand as well as many collectors here in the UK.
