Marianna Kneller

For twenty five years Marrianna was resident artist at Exbury Gardens, home of the celebrated Rothschild rhododendrons. During this time the Royal Horticultural Society awarded her medals for her rhododendron paintings including in 1991 the prestigious RHS Gold Medal.

In 1995 her seminal ‘Book of Rhododendrons’ was published by David & Charles. In 2014 she published a book titled ‘The Majical World of John Clare’ with each poem accompanied by her illustration of its wild flower subject. She is a huge fan of the poet John Clare and wants to raise public awareness of his genius.

Marianna still lives in Exbury and is planning to move away from her detailed botanical studies to paint in a more abstract style emphasing the amazing flower colours to be found in nature.
