Lee McCarthy

Lee McCarthy has always loved art and when you add to this his love for holidays on the beach, you get these lively and vibrant paintings with lots of fun details.

He is from the North and so there is a touch of the L.S. Lowry influence in the naivity of his paintings, but the style he has developed is all his own. He works in acylic on canvas building up the layers to give texture and colour. He tries to keep a uniform colour coordination which he feels brings the whole picture together. The fun part he says is adding the details that breath life into the painting.
