Kate Wyatt

Artist Details: Kate was brought up in Somerset and Dorset, where she developed a deep love of the countryside, and particularly the wild animals which inhabit the land – badgers, hares and other species.

She is best known for her unique portrayal of these wild creatures. Each painting begins with numerous preparatory sketches, from which Kate develops a line drawing and gradually builds up colour and texture using mixed media to reflect each animal’s environment.

Kate studied at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art. She has had numerous exhibitions throughout the South West of England and London, and has undertaken several commissions for the United States of America, Canada and Australia
