Frank Pretorius

Born in 1974, Frank grew up close to nature and drew avidly from an early age. After studying graphic design, fine arts and film making he went on to a 20 year career in advertising. It was only when he moved to the UK that he seized his opportunity to become a full time artist. He now lives in Windsor, Berkshire.

He says “Compared to the work I created as a young artist in my twenties, I am now far more partial to material and techniques that bring movement and depth of field into my work, much as you would have in a film. My style is all about capturing a moment where paint, canvas and a digital film frame meet”
