Animal Expressions
Bev Davies captures her animals in a free and distinctive style using a limited palette of earthy natural tones. Her medium is watercolour with dynamic mark making in pen and ink which she says ‘allows me to express extra movement and feeling’.
Bev is Shropshire-based and has a background in glass. Following her formal training, she set up a studio-based glass business with her husband. When she was forced to shield during the pandemic, she took this as the opportunity to pick up her paintbrushes again. This has led to the launch of a very successful range of limited edition prints taken from her watercolours.
